FROM KOLAJ #21 The Art of Letting GoElisabeth Wild’s collages emanate a sense of vibrant interior spaces charged with unsettling dualities--movement and stasis, off balance and equilibrium, contemporary and timeless. In Kolaj #21, Etty Yaniv tells the story of a 95-year-old artist from Vienna who is making collage in Guatemalan jungle. MORE |
FROM KOLAJ #21 Metaphors and New ConnectionsUsing his knowledge as a graphic designer, John Washington makes digital collage using Procreate on a 12.7-inch iPad. Unlike many of his digital compatriots who create seamless, blended imagery, Washington borrows heavily from the look and feel of analog collage. Washington, a former police officer, has had an interesting life and brings his experiences to his collage work. A portfolio of Washington's collage appears in Kolaj #21. MORE |
